Your new company
A leading infrastructure organisation requires an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of ground investigation, site survey and pre-construction activities across a portfolio of major projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile programme, working closely with specialist contractors, land teams and project stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Your new role
As Site Engineer, you will coordinate site-based investigations and survey activities, ensuring all works are carried out safely, compliantly and to the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Supporting health, safety, environmental and quality reporting requirements.
- Delivering site inductions, briefings and safe systems of work.
- Coordinating access arrangements and liaising with landowners and stakeholders.
- Managing site access requirements alongside land and project teams.
- Developing and maintaining short-term programmes for surveys and site activities.
- Coordinating plant, equipment and site resources.
- Monitoring programme performance and site progress against budget and timescales.
- Managing specialist ground investigation and survey contractors on site.
- Maintaining accurate daily records, photographs and site documentation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for local stakeholders and interested parties.
- Supporting contractor selection, evaluation and mobilisation activities.
- Taking responsibility for site welfare, first aid arrangements, emergency response and security.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Section Engineer or Site Supervisor within infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or environmental projects.
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental management.
- Experience managing subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and site activities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
- First Aid qualification desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
