Site Engineer - M65 Corridor
On behalf of the UK's largest highways contractor, we are hiring a Site Engineer to support a major highways drainage scheme on the M65 corridor. The role is hands-on and will suit engineers who are confident with setting out, underground-service identification, permit controls and accurate as-built records.
Location: M65 Junction 6 / East Lancashire
Contract: Temporary | approx. 8-12 weeks / potentially longer
Shift: Nights, 19:00-04:00 | 5 shifts per week listed
Start date: October 25/27

- Set out kerbs, drainage features, gullies / CKDs and associated highway works.
- Carry out CAT scanning / service identification and clearly mark excavation / dig-down areas.
- Support / issue permit-to-dig and relevant site permits in line with project controls.
- Carry out survey checks, levels and engineering control using approved equipment.
- Produce as-built information, QA / engineering records and daily progress reports.
- Work closely with Site Management, Supervisors, gangs and traffic-management teams during night delivery.

Requirements:
- Previous highways / motorway / roads Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer experience.
- Strong drainage and kerb / gully setting-out experience.
- Hands-on CAT scanning and permit-issuing / permit-to-dig experience.
- Valid CSCS, SSSTS and Highways Passport.
- Able to commit to 19:00-04:00 night shifts and reach M65 Junction 6 reliably.
- UK right to work.
