Site Engineer - Civil Engineering
Location: Glasgow & Central Belt (within 1 hour of Glasgow)
Salary: £45-60,000 + package + company vehicle
About the Role
A well-established civil engineering contractor based in the West of Scotland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt. With a strong and sustained workload secured within a one-hour radius of Glasgow, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and expanding business.
The Role
You will play a key role in the successful delivery of a range of civil engineering projects, working closely with site management to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works in line with technical drawings and specifications
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety standards
- Interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, identifying any issues
- Maintaining accurate QA documentation and as-built records
- Supporting planning and programme delivery on site
- Assisting site and project management teams with daily operations.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
- Strong setting-out capability using GPS / Total Station equipment
- Experience within infrastructure, groundworks, or general civils projects
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Good knowledge of health & safety regulations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
