Site Engineer

Location: Exeter

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Car Allowance

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Opportunity

Are you a Site Engineer in the early stages of your civil engineering career, looking for an opportunity to develop with an established main contractor?

We are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join an experienced project team in Exeter, supporting the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the South West.

This opportunity would suit someone who has already gained some practical site experience, whether through a Graduate or Trainee Engineer position, placement year, or an early Site Engineer role, and is now looking to develop their technical knowledge and take on greater responsibility.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will support the technical delivery of works on site, working closely with the wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
