Green Cat Contracting is a growing civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow, specialising in balance of plant infrastructure for renewable energy projects across the UK. We deliver high-quality civil engineering solutions for wind, hydro and other renewable energy developments. We are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a young and growing civil engineering contractor based out of our Glasgow Head Office. The role of Site Engineer will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work on projects of varying size and complexities including wind farms, hydroelectric projects and other renewable energy projects throughout the UK.

At present we have a good order book of projects in Scotland although we do work throughout the UK. Depending on the workload and project requirements you could be moving between different sites around the UK on a daily basis or based full time on a large project for the duration of the work. There will also be a requirement for the successful candidate to work from our Glasgow office at times to help prepare for projects before work on site begins.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
