About the Role:

Our client is looking to strengthen its Construction and Project Delivery team by recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects across the Anglian Water region. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of engineering activities on site, working closely with project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in surveying, setting out, quality assurance and engineering coordination while supporting the successful delivery of complex civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out day-to-day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out, quality inspections and approvals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify challenges and deliver practical engineering solutions.
  • Support programme, quality and budget objectives throughout project delivery.
  • Prepare temporary works design briefs in accordance with Temporary Works Coordinator requirements.
  • Produce, review and submit red-line drawings to the design team.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling three-month lookahead programme for your allocated works.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety legislation, environmental standards and statutory regulations.
  • Plan engineering activities to minimise health and safety risks.
  • Maintain accurate site records and communicate any project changes to the site management team.
  • Support the Site Manager by resolving engineering issues and ensuring construction aligns with specifications, digital models and drawings.
  • Mentor Graduate and Apprentice Engineers, supporting their professional development.

What Our Client is Looking For:

  • HNC, HND or Level 4 Civil Engineering Technician qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience using CAD and BIM software.
  • Competent in the use of robotic total stations and GPS surveying equipment.
  • Valid SSSTS certification.
  • 3-Day First Aid qualification.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative project team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
