The Role
The Site Engineer (rates dependent on experience) will form part of our Site Management team and be responsible for technical, organisational and supervisory elements of each given site.
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of setting out and levels.
- Surveys.
- Checking drawings and quantities.
- Produce cut and fill reports.
- Taking off materials.
- Working with a number of gangs.
- Liaising with any consultants and / or sub-contractors engaged in the project.
- QA
Key Skills:
- Hardworking / timekeeping and reliability.
- Prioritising work areas / gangs.
- Competent using total stations and GPS.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A commercial understanding of budgets and timelines for projects.
- Good communication skills at all levels to enable you to work with clients, construction managers, subcontractors etc.
- Technical know-how.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of IT knowledge.
- Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation.
