Site Engineer - Civils

We're looking for a Site Engineer - Civils to join our team based in Calvert. The project involves the delivery of complex civil engineering works, including bridges, road realignments, earthworks, drainage systems, structures, and associated infrastructure.

Location: Calvert

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Site Engineer - Civils, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering technical compliance and quality across the project. You'll play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance on site. Responsible for setting out, surveying, quality assurance and technical support activities to ensure structures, highways, drainage and earthworks are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the efficient and safe delivery of major infrastructure works.

  • Carrying out setting out works in accordance with design drawings and specifications, verifying levels, dimensions and alignment
  • Completing inspections, ITP records and quality documentation, ensuring compliance with project procedures
  • Supporting daily delivery of structures, highways, drainage and earthworks activities, coordinating with subcontractors and site teams
  • Operating and maintaining surveying equipment including Leica, Trimble or equivalent systems
  • Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with RAMS, promoting safe working practices and reporting hazards

What are we looking for?

This role of Site Engineer - Civils is great for you if:

  • You hold a Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering
  • You have demonstrable experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
  • You have proven experience in structures, highways, drainage and earthworks, including on major infrastructure projects
  • You're competent in setting out equipment and surveying techniques, with a good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • You have strong communication and organisational skills, and hold a CSCS Card
