Site Engineer Opportunity
Are you an experienced Site Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Finlay Jude Associates are working with a leading infrastructure services provider delivering essential projects across the water and wastewater sector.
Our client is looking to strengthen their delivery team with a Site Engineer working across the Thames Water region. You will play a key role in the delivery of clean water infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake setting out and surveying activities for clean water trunk main installations and associated infrastructure
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and client standards
- Coordinate trenching, pipe laying, directional drilling, valve installations and associated civil works
- Resolve site engineering issues in collaboration with design and project teams
- Support commissioning, pressure testing, chlorination and network integration activities
- Maintain accurate site records, quality documentation, inspection records and as-built information
- Coordinate material inspections and verify compliance with project specifications
- Manage non-conformance reporting and corrective actions where required
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
- Review and implement RAMS and conduct site inspections and audits
- Ensure environmental controls are maintained throughout project delivery

Essential Skills

- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience delivering water infrastructure projects
- Experience with setting out equipment and surveying techniques
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Understanding of pressure testing, chlorination and commissioning processes
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- EUSR Water Hygiene Card
Desirable
- Experience working on clean water trunk mains projects
- NRSWA Supervisor qualification
- First Aid at Work certification
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator qualification
- Knowledge of water industry standards and utility construction practices
