Job Description

Kanadevia Inova is recruiting a Site Financial Cost Controller to support our project team on the construction of the Medworth Energy from Waste CHP Facility. Based onsite in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, you will be responsible day to day for the following;

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies and flags risks impacting project margin, proposing corrective actions (e.g. accrual bookings)
  • Budgeting and Forecast, Variance analysis
  • Manages risks and ensures internal control compliance on site and monitor the engagement of subcontractors and controls partners’ expenses on site (cost recognition and creditor invoice payment)
  • Interfaces with supply management to secure deliveries, orders and invoice correctness
  • Provides financial information to Site Manager, Project Manager Civil Works and Site Supervisors
  • Cooperates with regional and HQ accounting
  • Manages the local expenses (petty cash, credit card, cheque book, project bank account, etc.)
  • Monitoring of cost of sales and analysis of deviations from the project plan
  • Provides regular project forecasts / cost to complete
  • Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them

Qualifications

  • Experienced in project controlling and / or project accounting
  • Good command of IFS and SAP B1
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel),
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (German and other languages are an asset)
  • Strong understanding of project controlling and financial management plus PoC accounting experience under IFRS
  • Able to adapt and develop commercial processes and the ability to work independently and establish structures in new environments
  • Experience in a similar industry and/or function (preferably construction of large industrial plants)
  • Team player and customer-oriented
  • Good communication skills at all levels of business hierarchy and proactive attitude
  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set priorities and take decisions
