Job Purpose

To lead and champion world-class hygiene standards across all factory areas and shifts, including night operations, ensuring a consistently clean, safe, and audit-ready manufacturing environment.

The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving hygiene systems that protect product integrity, support manufacturing efficiency, and ensure compliance with food safety, customer, and regulatory requirements. This includes oversight of all cleaning activities, from daily sanitation tasks and routine cleaning schedules to full equipment strip-downs, deep cleans, and periodic hygiene programmes.

A key focus of the role is to optimise cleaning effectiveness through robust hygiene planning, the review of cleaning and disinfection performance, and the continuous assessment of equipment hygiene design. By working collaboratively across departments, the Hygiene Manager will drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring hygiene practices support operational performance and business objectives.

Job Context

This role works in close partnership with key operational and functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Technical, Human Resources, and Site Leadership. The position serves as the central point of expertise for all hygiene-related matters, ensuring alignment between food safety standards, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
