Site Installation Manager - Roofing & Cladding
Scotland - Field Based / Remote
£48,000 + Up to 10% Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Yolk Recruitment are supporting a leading manufacturer of roofing, cladding and building-envelope systems with the recruitment of an experienced Site Installation Manager to support customer projects throughout Scotland.
This is a field-based position, combining site installation support, customer engagement, contractor training and project inspections. You'll spend much of your time on live construction sites, supporting roofing and cladding projects from product delivery through to installation and ensuring products are handled, stored and installed correctly, safely and in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
Rather than physically carrying out installations yourself, you'll be the manufacturer's technical presence on site - working closely with contractors and site teams, providing practical installation guidance and training, monitoring progress and identifying potential issues before they develop into costly problems or claims.
This is what you'll be doing
As Site Installation Manager, you'll manage site support across projects throughout Scotland, building strong relationships with contractors, customers and internal technical teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending live construction projects to monitor the delivery, handling, storage and installation of roofing, cladding and building-envelope products.
- Inspecting roofing and cladding systems throughout installation to ensure work is being completed in accordance with product specifications, installation guidance and required standards.
- Providing practical, on-site guidance to contractors and installation teams, helping them understand correct product handling and installation methods.
- Delivering product and installation training to site operatives and customers, covering areas including delivery, storage, handling and correct installation practices.
- Monitoring products from arrival on site, helping to identify any damage, handling concerns or installation issues at the earliest opportunity.
- Supporting contractors with installation queries and liaising with the internal Technical team where further product or application advice is required.
- Using technical literature, installation guides and product documentation to support site teams and promote correct installation.
- Identifying potential installation, quality or compliance issues and working collaboratively with customers and contractors to agree appropriate corrective actions.
- Carrying out site inspections at different stages of project delivery and providing clear progress updates to internal Technical Managers.
- Producing concise site inspection and visit reports, including photographs, observations, installation progress and details of any issues identified.
- Maintaining accurate records of site visits, inspections, customer interactions and project activity using company systems.
- Supporting specification and project-detail discussions where required, providing practical feedback based on site conditions and installation experience.
- Working closely with customers, contractors, Area Sales Managers and Technical colleagues to ensure projects progress smoothly.
- Supporting the reduction of potential complaints and warranty/installation claims through early intervention and proactive site support.
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and ensuring site activities relating to company products remain compliant with required procedures.
- Feeding site and customer insight back into the business to support continuous improvement of products, installation guidance and technical resources.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
