Job Title: Site Labourer
Reporting to: Site Manager
Role Purpose
This role will support the site team with daily tasks on site relating to the Omexom Project at Fort Augustus Substation, Auchteraw Road, Fort Augustus.
The project period runs to 2032 with opportunity on Omexom projects thereafter.
You will be part of the site-based project team delivering the work and will report to the Site Manager.
The role will be site-based Monday to Friday 0700-1800 with occasional overtime and weekend work required for which you would be paid.
Ideally the candidate will live locally, however accommodation can be provided by Omexom.
Teamwork is a key essential of the Omexom philosophy so you will be comfortable working as part of a team and willing to contribute to the team ethic and dynamic.
The role will provide you with opportunities for advancement and training which Omexom promotes and supports.
Responsibilities & Duties
Including but not limited to the following:
- Working as part of a team to ensure the site is maintained in a safe and clean state
- Assist with the daily tasks in maintaining fencing, walkways, signage, first aid posts site compound and work area
- Assist with the receipt and offload of materials in conjunction with the Store Co-Ordinator
- Stand in for Gateman during their breaks and as required
- Record access and egress from the site
- Be responsible for their own and others safety on site.

Person Specification
The Site Labour Operative will require you to be physically fit and able to safely undertake the role in demanding terrain and weather.
You will have an aptitude to work as part of a team and will be encouraged to develop your skills both on site and in formal practical training.
Experience
The Site Labour Operative will look to show competence and experience in at least the following areas.
- Previous experience in a similar role advantageous
- Experience of working in a live substation environment advantageous
- Use of hand power tools
- Good reading and writing skills
- Ability to take instruction
- Safety Awareness in a construction site-based environment

Competencies
Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- CSCS Card or equivalent
- CSCS /NPORS Plant Operators Card Telehandler/Loadall advantageous
- CITB/NPORS Plant Operators Card Banksman advantageous
- Driving license (essential)
