Role - Site Lead

Lola’s is a leading cupcakes, cakes and brownies business. Based in North West London, the company produces and sells over 10,000 products per day, the overwhelming majority of which are bespoke per order. Lola’s sells its products through its own network of 60 retail outlets and through online channels. The business is very successful and is growing quickly. The main production site operates seven days per week with a two shift pattern, and there are plans to create a further increase in production capacity to meet demand.

As part of the plans to grow the business there is a requirement to recruit a Site Lead to take responsibility for production, technical, safety, quality, and purchasing; a total headcount of around 130 people. The role will entail a mixture of ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, as well as leading strategic plans to develop and expand the production site. People and culture are central to the success of Lola’s, and the Site Lead will play a significant leadership role in continuing to hone and develop this.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
