New Role for a Site Maintenance Manager

New role for a Site Maintenance Manager, to run an established resident maintenance team of over 15 engineers at an established aerospace manufacturing site in Yeovil. As a Site Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing customer relations by driving operational excellence and ensuring machine downtime is kept to a minimum. Available is a competitive salary, performance bonus, and private pension as private healthcare.

Working Mon : Fri 38 Hours per week

As Site Maintenance Manager You Will

  • Manage resident maintenance team ensuring engineers, displaying excellent man management skills in a customer facing environment handling client engagement tasks and issues.
  • Lead and inspire a team to uphold a culture of safety and wellness, ensuring compliance with safety programmes and initiatives.
  • Manage a team of over 15 maintenance engineers to support CNC production of aerospace components.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders by demonstrating honesty, respect, and transparency.
  • Develop and execute a site-specific maintenance plan, ensuring alignment with proactive and reliability maintenance processes.
  • Manage financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profit, while driving cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with customers to align on expectations, anticipate needs, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure satisfaction and priority alignment.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven leadership experience, with at least three years of supervisory responsibility, ideally within a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
  • A technical or business-related qualification is preferred, or equivalent experience in operations or maintenance.
  • Excellent customer engagement and interaction capable of managing high expectations.
  • Good understanding of budget management, CAPEX or P and L.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build relationships, lead teams, and motivate others with integrity and respect.
  • Solid understanding of proactive machine maintenance and preventative maintenance engineering processes, including planning, scheduling, reactive maintenance, and root cause analysis.

Current or recent experience working as maintenance manager, production manager, resident engineering manager, resident maintenance manager, site engineering manager, site maintenance engineer supervisor.
