A well-established fit-out and refurbishment contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a high-profile office refurbishment project in Glasgow City Centre. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across Scotland, this contractor prides itself on maintaining exceptional standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site operations on a multi-floor office refurbishment project in Glasgow City Centre. The scheme involves the refurbishment of four office floors and requires a strong Site Manager capable of coordinating subcontractors, driving programme, and ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing all site activities from inception through to completion
- Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors and site labour
- Maintaining health and safety standards on site
- Monitoring project progress against programme
- Ensuring quality standards are achieved throughout the build
- Chairing site meetings and liaising with the project team and stakeholders
- Managing site documentation and reporting

This role is expected to commence at the end of September and will run for approximately 20 weeks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects
- Strong background delivering office refurbishment schemes
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage programme, quality and health & safety effectively
- Experience working within occupied or city-centre environments would be advantageous
- Availability to commence at the end of September
