Site Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: West Midlands
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Benefits: Performance bonus, private medical cover, pension and 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
We’re recruiting a Site Manager for an established food manufacturing business in the West Midlands. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complete site operation, lead its people and make a measurable difference to safety, quality, service and performance.
You’ll oversee manufacturing, engineering, warehousing and facilities, working closely with the wider leadership team to turn business priorities into practical improvements on site. The role calls for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor as well as planning for the longer term.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the site, setting clear standards and building accountability across teams.
- Strengthen food safety and health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, GMP and relevant requirements.
- Deliver production and warehousing plans while improving productivity, equipment reliability and customer service.
- Manage budgets and resources, reducing waste and operating costs without compromising quality.
- Coach and develop the site team, supporting managers to solve problems and sustain improvements.
- Work with engineering on planned maintenance, downtime reduction and projects that improve capacity or efficiency.
- Use performance data to identify priorities, report progress and guide decisions.

What we’re looking for
- You’ll have management experience in food manufacturing and a track record of leading teams across more than one function.
- You’ll be comfortable taking responsibility for site performance, budgets and continuous improvement.
- Experience working to BRCGS standards and a HACCP Level 3 or 4 qualification are required.
- We’re open to backgrounds across chilled, frozen and ambient food production, including ready meals, bakery, sauces, oils, meat and dairy.
- Qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, Food Safety Level 4 or Lean Six Sigma would be useful, as would experience supplying food service customers or major retailers.
