Site Manager – Planned Works (Social Housing)

πŸ“ Wiltshire, Hampshire & Dorset

πŸ“… 7 Month Fixed-Term Contract

πŸš— Travel required across the region

Join Wates Property Services – Delivering Better Homes, Together

Due to continued growth and a new social housing programme, Wates Property Services (WPS) is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Planned Works team on a 7-month fixed-term contract covering Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.

Working alongside one of our social housing partners, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across occupied residential properties. Typical works may include kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows and doors, energy efficiency improvements, and wider property investment works.

This opportunity would suit a proven Site Manager with a strong background in planned social housing maintenance, who is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality projects while maintaining excellent client and resident relationships.

Drawing on similar internal planned works project manager roles within WPS, the position focuses on safe, profitable and customer-focused project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple planned maintenance projects across the region.
  • Develop and implement project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Monitor project performance, quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, residents and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress, programme, costs and KPI performance.
  • Ensure smooth project handover and completion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
