Key Details

Site Manager: based in Croydon, South London
Position: begins ASAP
Role: full-time on a split-shift basis
Hours:

  • Morning: 6:30am - 11:30am
  • Afternoon: 3:10pm - 6:10pm

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management, security, and maintenance of the premises
  • Responsible for opening and locking up the premises
  • Responsible for swimming pool cleaning and maintenance
  • Applicants must live locally to Croydon and be able to reliably travel to and from the school for both shifts

Requirements:

  • Applicants should have previous experience in site management, facilities, maintenance, caretaking, or a similar role

The Role: Site Manager

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands-on Site Manager to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon, South London, from ASAP.

As the Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the premises are safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained on a daily basis. You will play a key role in ensuring the school is ready for pupils and staff each morning and securely locked and safe at the end of the school day.

The successful candidate will need to be local to Croydon and able to commit to both parts of the split shift.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Opening the premises each morning and ensuring the site is ready for the school day
  • Locking up the premises at the end of the day and ensuring the site is fully secure
  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and upkeep of the premises
  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and minor works where appropriate
  • Maintaining the grounds and ensuring the site is kept clean, tidy, and presentable
  • Cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool
  • Monitoring the security of the buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Reporting and coordinating any larger repairs or maintenance issues
  • Liaising with contractors and external service providers when required
  • Carrying out regular health and safety checks
  • Supporting the school with compliance and ensuring the premises remain safe for pupils, staff, and visitors
  • Responding promptly to any site-related issues or emergencies

The ideal candidate will be dependable, practical, and highly organized, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of the premises. Previous experience in a school, facilities, caretaking, or site management environment would be highly desirable.
