We're looking for an experienced Site Manager with an Electrical Engineering background to lead the safe and successful delivery of installation and commissioning activities across transmission substations, power generation facilities and major industrial sites throughout the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading automation, control systems and engineering organisations, supporting the delivery of critical power and energy infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for managing multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors and client stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working across the full project lifecycle, you'll oversee electrical installation, commissioning, testing and customer acceptance activities while maintaining compliance with CDM Regulations, National Grid standards and industry best practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation, commissioning and customer acceptance of electrical, protection, control and automation systems.
  • Lead site-based teams including Site Technicians, Commissioning Engineers, Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all site activities are delivered safely, to specification, on time and to budget.
  • Chair site progress meetings, coordinate stakeholders and produce meeting documentation.

  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical input during project planning and delivery phases.
  • Manage subcontractors carrying out electrical, mechanical, lifting and cable installation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations, quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain site drawings, documentation and quality records including ITPs.
  • Coordinate site welfare, equipment, tooling and logistics requirements.
  • Monitor site performance, competency and safety standards across project teams.
  • Support Project Managers with resource planning, change management and programme delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
