Site Manager – Power Refurbishment

Location: Sheffield
Rate: £450 per day
Contract: 12 months
IR35: Outside IR35
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
Start: ASAP

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a major power refurbishment project in Sheffield.

The project involves the renewal and upgrading of the site's existing power infrastructure, so we are ideally looking for someone with an electrical background or strong understanding of electrical works.

Experience working around 11kV and 33kV systems would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, and other site personnel
  • Ensuring works are carried out in line with CDM regulations
  • Organising resources, labour, and site activities
  • Maintaining strong communication across the site team and project stakeholders
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring works remain on programme
  • Attending site meetings and coordinating with other project teams
  • Ensuring health, safety, and quality standards are maintained
  • Supporting the delivery of electrical and power refurbishment works

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confidence managing people and subcontractors on site
  • An electrical bias or strong understanding of electrical works
  • Ideally, experience working with 11kV / 33kV systems
  • Experience within power, electrical infrastructure, utilities, or similar environments
