SITE MANAGER
£48,000 £50,000 + Car Allowance or Van
Full Time | Site Based | 37.5 hours per week within a 7.30am 5.30pm working window (Most office-based staff work 8.30am 5.00pm, with site teams starting and finishing earlier)

About the Client
Our client is a long-established, family-owned construction business with over 150 years of history, delivering high-quality projects across commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light, and leisure sectors. They operate across the Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, and North London, delivering projects through two divisions: Small Works & Frameworks (up to £1m) and Main Contracts (up to £15m).
This role sits within their Small Works & Frameworks division, delivering projects up to £1m across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire.

The Site Manager
The Site Manager supervises construction sites, manages daily activity, and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safe systems of work and ensure all operatives follow required standards
- Manage site productivity and sequencing to achieve programme milestones
- Oversee site activity in line with contract, cost, and compliance requirements
- Minimise environmental and community impact
- Coordinate interfaces between stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ensure projects are delivered to the required specification and quality
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols
- Familiarity with industry ISO standards
- Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders
- Leadership capability
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills

Qualifications & Requirements
- In-date CSCS card supported by a recognised qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent)
- SMSTS First Aid at Work
- HNC in Construction Management (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Required to wear company-issued uniform and PPE on site
Security, Vetting & Right to Work
- Must have full right to work in the UK
- Must have been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years to meet client vetting requirements
- Must be willing to undertake DBS, BPSS, or client-led security checks where required
- Must be willing to discuss any matters relevant to vetting as part of the process
- Must be able to maintain the vetting standards required for regulated sites

£48,000 £50,000 depending on experience Car allowance or van
