I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and driven Site Manager to join one of the UK's largest and most prestigious science construction projects, delivering a new headquarters facility for a leading pharmaceutical organisation in Windlesham.
The project is now entering an exciting phase, with a significant focus on the fit-out and finishing of high-quality office accommodation. Working closely with the wider project team, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the exceptional standards expected on a landmark development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities across office fit-out works.
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with project programmes.
- Oversee subcontractors, ensuring quality, productivity, and compliance standards are maintained.
- Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve issues and delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Coordinate with project managers, commercial teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Support effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Ensure works are completed to the required quality standards and client expectations.
