Job Title
Location: Southwark, Greater London, England
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time
Salary: £33 - £38 per hour

We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee a retail fit out project in London. The role commences on 5th October and is expected to last for six weeks. This is a full-time contract position requiring strong leadership and hands-on management of the site to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Job Duties
- Manage all day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including site inspections and risk assessments.
- Monitor progress against programme and manage resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, site diaries, and quality control documentation.
- Oversee the retail fit out works, ensuring high standards of workmanship and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and designers to resolve any site issues promptly.
- Manage site logistics, including deliveries, storage, and waste management.
- Conduct regular site meetings to communicate progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure all site personnel hold the necessary qualifications and licences to work safely and legally.

Required Qualifications
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
- Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- Current First Aid qualification.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Education
- Minimum of a relevant construction-related qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Additional formal training in site management or construction supervision is advantageous.
Experience
- Proven experience managing retail fit out or shop fit out projects on time and within budget.
- Strong track record of working on projects within London or similar urban environments.
- Experience in coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing site logistics effectively.

Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations applicable to retail fit outs.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and site teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Competence in using site management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions
- Work predominantly takes place on site in Southwark, Greater London.
- Full-time hours with an expectation of flexibility to meet project demands.
- Work involves exposure to typical construction site environments, including noise, dust, and variable weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory at all times on site.
