Site Manager
The Site Manager will oversee railway telecoms and minor civils projects, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of work across operational rail environments. Projects are predominantly station-based and involve management of multiple contractors, supervisors, and workstreams across a portfolio of projects. Manage the site to align with agreed resource plans, client timelines, business budgets, and customer requirements.
The role will require flexibility to attend Rail sites across England and sometimes in Scotland, including working days and nights and flexibility for overnight stays.
What you’ll do
- Provide effective support for on-site supervision to ensure on-going safety and resource productivity.
- Participate in the planning for effective delivery strategies for project implementation at site level, i.e resources required to undertake all enabling works, installation, testing and commissioning.

- Lead all site delivery staff associated with the project once deployed to the project.
- Take ownership of contractor management and project delivery.
- Ensure Quality and EH&S reports are maintained and updated.
- Deliver briefings for all site staff, toolbox talks, site audits, inspections, incident reporting and investigations.
- Build strong relationships with contractors and supervisors.
- Providing regular updates and progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, escalating risks and issues.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the project development/deployment.

Who you are
The Site Manager will be highly flexible regarding travel and working hours and have previous experience of overseeing site operations to ensure efficient and safe execution of work, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction in accordance with site-specific documentation. As well as managing the site to align with agreed resource plans, client timelines, business budgets, and customer requirements.

Key Requirements
- Previous Site Management experience of managing multiple teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to bring together diverse groups.
- Site management experience within construction, infrastructure, rail or similar industries.
- Experience taking responsibility for health, safety and compliance on site.
- Network Rail PTS.
- SMSTS.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
