Site Manager – Fit Out

Location: London NW1

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

Blayze Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager on behalf of a highly regarded developer, to join the delivery team on a prestigious mixed-use development in the Camden region.


The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced project team and take responsibility for the internal fit-out and completion of a major development in one of London's most sought-after locations.


The Project

  • 300 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) beds, including affordable accommodation
  • 30 affordable residential homes
  • 8,000 sq ft of ground-floor commercial space
  • Three architecturally distinctive buildings ranging from 6 to 12 storeys

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple residential and student accommodation units, managing the internal fit-out from 1st fix through to 2nd fix, snagging, defects and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day fit-out and finishing activities across multiple units
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site operatives
  • Managing works from 1st fix through to 2nd fix and final completion
  • Coordinating multiple trades, including MEP, drylining, ceilings, carpentry, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and decoration
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality, programme, and specification
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and productivity
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, and wider site team
  • Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Managing snagging, de-snagging, and defects through to completion
  • Ensuring units are completed to the required standard and ready for handover
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on progress
  • Identifying and resolving construction issues to maintain programme
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements
  • Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates

About You

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction or high-end fit-out
  • Strong experience managing internal finishes and completing residential units
  • A good understanding of 1st fix, 2nd fix, snagging, and handover
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A keen eye for quality and attention to detail
  • SMSTS and CSCS
