Working on a social housing retrofit and planned maintenance contract
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our operational team delivering a fast-paced programme of social housing retrofit and planned maintenance works across the Ipswich region.
This role will involve managing multiple sites, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The programme includes a range of planned maintenance and energy efficiency improvement works within occupied social housing properties.
This opportunity would suit an established Site Manager with experience managing planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit projects within the social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple planned maintenance and retrofit projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and material deliveries to ensure programme targets are achieved.
- Monitor health and safety compliance and maintain high site standards at all times.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure works are completed in line with specifications and client requirements.
- Work closely with Resident Liaison Officers to minimise disruption and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure productivity, programme delivery and budget objectives are met.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.

About You
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager is essential.
- Experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit projects.
- Social housing experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident managing subcontractors and driving performance on site.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with residents, clients and project teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites across the region.
