Role Description

This is a temporary, on-site Site Manager role based in Manchester. The Site Manager will oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating trades and labor
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Monitoring progress against project plans
  • Addressing any on-site issues

The role involves conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records and site documentation. The Site Manager will also communicate regularly with project stakeholders, provide updates, and support the smooth delivery of construction activities.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong site management and supervision skills, including experience coordinating trades, labor, and subcontractors.
  • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, workers, and other stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and on-site issues.
  • Relevant experience as a Site Manager or in a similar construction management role is highly beneficial.
  • Appropriate construction-related qualifications (e.g., NVQ, degree, or equivalent) and valid site safety certifications (such as SMSTS or SSSTS) are preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Manchester, demonstrate reliability, and uphold high standards of professionalism and compliance.
