Job Description

Site Manager

Standlake, Oxfordshire

Permanent, full-time

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our site, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in site management to join a growing and dynamic team.


More about the role:

  • Manage the Standlake site staff.
  • Manage the Efficient allocation of BU asset to task.
  • Manage the Treatment of waste on site.
  • Manage and reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
  • Reduce BU monthly maintenance and repair costs.
  • Manage the Site Compliance (EA, H&S).
  • Supporting strategy towards the profitable growth and operational effectiveness of the company.
  • Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the management team.
  • Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the management team.
  • Putting in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems.
  • Ensuring that the operating objectives and standards of performance are understood and owned by the Management team / employees.
  • Closely monitoring the operating and financial results against forecasts and budgets.
  • Taking remedial action where necessary and informing the management team of significant changes.
  • Maintaining the operational performance of the company assuming full accountability to the management team.

Qualifications

  • Good customer service/telephone manner with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills with drivers, yard staff, and other colleagues.
  • Numerate and literate to process paperwork associated with the role.
  • Keen to learn new skills and develop own knowledge.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • IT skills in Word and Excel.
  • Develop future leaders within the BU.
  • IOSH Managing safely.
  • Site Machinery (Various).
  • WAMITAB – Training will be provided.
