Role Description

The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on residential construction sites in New Milton. This full-time, on-site role includes planning and coordinating site activities, supervising subcontractors and site staff, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards. The Site Manager monitors progress, manages resources and materials, conducts regular site inspections, and addresses any issues that may impact project timelines or quality. The role involves enforcing health and safety regulations, maintaining site records, and communicating regularly with all stakeholders. The Site Manager also liaises with customers, sales, and the customer care team when needed, supporting a professional handover process and maintaining Pennyfarthing Homes' high customer satisfaction levels.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience managing large-scale residential construction sites, including planning, coordination, and supervision of daily site activities.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control practices.
  • Effective leadership skills, with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors, delegate tasks, and motivate others to meet deadlines.
  • Solid organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate site documentation.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for liaising with colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Proficiency with basic IT tools and site management systems for reporting, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Relevant construction or site management qualifications (e.g., Degree, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent) and valid site safety certifications (such as CSCS, SMSTS, or SSSTS) are highly beneficial.
  • Experience in residential property development and familiarity with high-quality, customer-focused new homebuilding environments.
