Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major data centre construction project in Middlesbrough, UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme and required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day site activities and construction works.
- Supervise subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Monitor progress against the project programme and report any delays or issues.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Construction Managers and subcontractors.
- Monitor the quality of works and ensure required standards are maintained.
- Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the site.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular updates on progress, issues and requirements.
- Coordinate site activities, resources and labour to maintain project progress.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to resolve site queries and technical issues.
- Assist with the coordination of materials, plant and deliveries to site.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and relevant documentation.

- Proven experience as a Site Manager within large-scale construction projects.
- Previous data centre, industrial, commercial or complex construction experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing and site coordination.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple site activities simultaneously.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a construction environment.
- Relevant construction qualifications/cards.
- CSCS or equivalent UK site certification.
- Ability to start immediately.
