Location: Leeds initially, with travel to sites across the North East and other areas as required

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Start Date: Immediate

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established construction client based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, who are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team on an immediate-start basis. The successful candidate will initially be working on a small project in Leeds, with the opportunity to support the client across further projects throughout the North East and other areas following completion.

This is a hands-on site management position suited to someone with solid construction experience who can confidently take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities on site.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Monitor progress and ensure works remain on programme.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety.
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries and materials.
  • Liaise with project management and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues on site.
  • Maintain relevant site documentation and records.
  • Ensure the project is delivered to the required quality and timescales.

Requirements:

  • SMSTS - essential.
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of site health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident managing subcontractors and site teams.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites across the North East and wider areas.

Package:

  • Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience.
  • Company van provided.
  • Fuel card provided.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
  • Immediate start available.
  • Initial project in Leeds, with further projects to follow.
