Site Manager – Substations

Working for an EPC contractor delivering works across substation frameworks within the Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) distribution network, supporting the construction, upgrade, and maintenance of substation infrastructure across the Scottish Central Belt.

Location: Scotland / Central Belt

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Role Description:

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with an engineering contractor delivering programmes of work across established substation frameworks within the SPEN distribution network. The programme covers the construction, upgrade, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure operating up to 132kV, supporting long-term investment in network resilience, capacity, and performance.

Due to continued framework workload and a growing pipeline of secured works, they are looking to appoint an additional Site Manager to support the delivery of active and upcoming projects across the region.

The Site Manager will take responsibility for managing site-based teams delivering substation construction and maintenance works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships on site.

Experience:

  • Substantial experience working on HV substation sites within power, utilities, or civil engineering environments
  • Proven experience supervising site teams and subcontractors on infrastructure projects
  • Strong experience within heavy civils (earthworks, RC, drainage, groundworks)
  • SMSTS qualification is essential
  • SPEN authorisations are highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of site health & safety, progress reporting, and material management
