Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Site Manager based out of our Service Centre in Hemel, covering sites across Great Britain and Europe.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Service Centre Operations Manager, EMEA the Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and installation projects on customer sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and maximizing project profitability.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Overseeing and managing multiple project sites across Great Britain and Europe.
  • Coordinating project handovers, including the completion of client documentation, certificates, and witness testing requirements.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Leading and supporting engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Carrying out and overseeing the testing and commissioning of LV and HV switchgear.
  • Managing projects effectively to ensure successful delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Supervising contractor activities to ensure all work is carried out in line with approved procedures and company standards.
  • Identifying and addressing potential project and operational risks to support safe and efficient delivery.
  • Promoting a zero-harm culture and driving continuous improvement in health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Championing Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) best practices across all site activities.
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, and task briefings to ensure teams are informed and prepared.
  • Conducting and maintaining site risk assessments and ensuring appropriate control measures are in place.
  • Ensuring method statements and safe systems of work are effectively communicated and followed.
  • Managing Permit to Work processes and ensuring they are implemented correctly across all site activities.
  • Monitoring site operations to ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
  • Taking responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of employees, contractors, and anyone affected by site operations.
  • Ensuring PPE and work equipment are used correctly and maintained in good working condition.
  • Reporting incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while supporting corrective and preventive actions.
  • Attending commissioning meetings and providing technical input throughout project delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce repeat site visits and improve operational efficiency.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and training of engineering teams.
  • Reviewing subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with company expectations and project requirements.
  • Escalating site concerns and risks to the Head of Site Services where appropriate.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients throughout project delivery.

Requirements

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the data centre industry.
  • SMSTS certification
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • Strong experience coordinating on-site projects and working with clients, contractors, vendors, and project managers.
  • Electrical qualifications or an electrical engineering background is a plus.
