Site Manager – NewBuild Vistry (SE Midlands/Leicester)

Role Overview

We have a critical opportunity for a Site Manager to join Vistry South East Midlands, supporting our project in Earl Shilton, Leicester.

In a Nutshell

As Site Manager, you’ll:

  • Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Manage teams while coordinating resources, enforcing health & safety, and liaising with contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Foster collaboration and enable flexible working (e.g., hybrid options to be negotiated during interview).

Key Responsibilities

  • On-site compliance monitoring: Adherence to timelines, budgets, NHBC standards, and lawful building regulations.
  • Risk management: Proactively addressing delays, safety breaches, or quality issues.
  • Team leadership: Staff training, performance management, and fostering a safe and engaged work environment.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Weekly meetings with site sales teams, procurement planning (with Surveying/Buying teams), and third-party inductions.
  • Documentation: Updating records for inspections, permits, and project closeout.

What We’re Looking for – Key Requirements

Proven experience in the following areas is critical:

  • Direct path in new-build housing management (at least X years activating permits, project delivery).
  • Health & Safety expertise: Ability to enforce policies, conduct inductions, and sign off without regulatory breaches.
  • Public Accounts Provenance: Psychometric/neurodiversity aligned to sensitive sales projects (refer #LI-KM1 in resume application).
  • Analytical Leadership
    • Team performance metrics: mentoring and mentoring further education, effectively resolving disciplinary items systematically.
    • It enables assessment of proficiency in MS Office, emails, stakeholder communication, and agile problem-solving environments.
    • A strong ability to build alignment with headcount expectation across 5 career phases.
