Site Manager

Location: Elgin, Moray
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum

Site Manager – £16m Construction Project

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join an established construction business delivering a major £16 million project in Elgin.

This is a high-profile and technically varied project, involving a combination of complex internal fit-out, specialist installations, new-build construction and external works. We are looking for an experienced Site Manager who can take ownership of site operations and play a key role in delivering the project safely, efficiently and to an exceptional standard.

The Project

The £16m development incorporates a diverse range of construction and specialist works, including:

  • Extensive internal timber lining
  • Metal stud partitioning
  • Curtain walling
  • Specialist ventilation systems
  • Bespoke flooring
  • A new reception area and bespoke reception desk
  • Two auditoriums
  • A two-storey extension
  • A new studio
  • External hard landscaping
  • High-quality internal and external finishes

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with experience of managing complex projects involving multiple trades, specialist subcontractors and demanding programme requirements.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, working closely with the Project and Contracts Management teams to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site.
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
  • Planning and sequencing works to maintain programme progress.
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and specification.
  • Coordinating specialist subcontractors and complex building services installations.
  • Managing site logistics, deliveries, materials and resources.
  • Monitoring progress against the construction programme.
  • Identifying potential delays and implementing solutions.
  • Ensuring all health, safety and environmental requirements are fully adhered to.
  • Leading site inductions, toolbox talks and regular site meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
  • Liaising with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Managing snagging, defects and the successful completion of works.
  • Maintaining a professional, safe and well-organised site environment.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong track record of delivering substantial construction projects.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on projects of significant value and complexity.
  • Experience managing multiple trades and specialist subcontractors.
  • A strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme management and site logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Relevant CSCS qualification/card.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence.
