Role Description
The Site Manager role at BEN BAILEY HOMES LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Barnsley. The Site Manager oversees daily construction activities, ensuring homes are built safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Managing subcontractors and site staff
- Coordinating materials and deliveries
- Maintaining accurate site records and reports
- Conducting regular inspections to monitor progress, compliance with building regulations, and adherence to company specifications
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture
- Liaising with internal teams and external partners
- Supporting effective communication with customers when required
Qualifications
- Strong site management and supervision skills, including coordinating trades, scheduling work, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Practical knowledge of residential construction, building regulations, quality control, and best practices in housebuilding.
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, including implementing site safety procedures and conducting regular inspections.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities, with experience managing timelines, resources, and site documentation.
- Previous experience in site management or a similar role within the construction or housebuilding sector.
- Relevant construction or site management qualifications (such as 5 day First Aid qualification and SMSTS).
- Capability to use basic IT tools for reporting, email, and project documentation, and a full driving license for travel to and from site.
