Role Description

The Site Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Newton On Trent, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the facility. The role includes:

The Site Manager will manage maintenance schedules, ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, and address operational issues as they arise. This position also involves:

  • Reporting on site performance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with senior management to align site operations with BritNRG’s strategic objectives

Qualifications

  • Strong site operations and facilities management skills, including planning, coordination, and supervision of daily activities.
  • Proficiency in health, safety, and environmental compliance, with experience implementing and monitoring HSE policies.
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities, including team supervision, performance management, and contractor oversight.
  • Solid organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to handle operational challenges and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial sector is highly beneficial, particularly within site or plant management roles.
  • Comfort with basic IT systems and operational reporting tools; familiarity with maintenance or asset management systems is an advantage.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in engineering, operations management, or a related field are preferred.
