Large Design & Build Project | Main Contractor

A well-established main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on a large design-and-build project in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme with a contractor that has a strong pipeline of secured work across South Wales.

The Role

  • Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors
  • Drive the programme and ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and site presentation
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, design team, and commercial team
  • Manage inspections, snagging, and project handover requirements
  • Build effective relationships with the client, consultants, and supply chain

About You

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager for a main contractor
  • A strong track record of working on construction projects valued at £10m or above
  • Previous design-and-build project experience
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of construction programmes, quality control, and health and safety
  • Relevant qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
