Hours

8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

Salary

£50,000 - £60,000 Dependent on experience

Our client is a specialist contractor in hard metal roofing, cladding, and façade systems, delivering bespoke solutions for both commercial and residential projects across the UK and internationally. They provide a full end-to-end service from design and fabrication through to installation, working with high-quality materials and offering tailored solutions for projects ranging from simple structures to complex, large-scale developments. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and technical expertise, our client combines industry experience with a customer-focused approach to consistently deliver high-standard, sustainable roofing solutions.

Due to continued business growth, they are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced site manager to join the firm at this key growth stage. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards while managing operatives, subcontractors, materials, and site documentation. Acting as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams, you will coordinate programmes, maintain health and safety compliance, resolve issues, and ensure successful project completion.

Position Duties

  • Attend site on time and maintain a professional presence throughout the duration of each project.
  • Ensure all sites are left safe, secure, and organized at the end of each day, with materials and equipment appropriately stored.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
  • Support the onboarding of new operatives, ensuring they are fully briefed on site procedures, safety requirements, and expectations on their first day.
  • Manage required permits, ensuring they are applied for, monitored, and closed correctly on a daily basis.
  • Oversee full responsibility for maintaining health and safety standards on site, carrying out regular inspections, and completing weekly safety reports for clients and management.
  • Coordinate site activities in line with the project programme, identifying and reporting any issues that may impact progress, along with continued quality control activities.
  • Work with the procurement team to support the planning and scheduling of materials and deliveries, ensuring resources are available when required.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and positive working relationships throughout the project.
  • Attend regular progress meetings alongside AMR management to review project updates, milestones, and any challenges.
  • Complete weekly site reports using the Fieldwire app and maintain accurate project records.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of sites, keeping a detailed daily site diary, recording operative attendance, completed works, and any relevant site information.

Position Requirements

  • Qualification required: NVQ Level 5, 6, or 7 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
  • Black CSCS Card
  • SMSTS Qualification
  • Ability to effectively manage site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and motivate operatives to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Skilled at planning workloads, managing programmes, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects remain on schedule.
  • Strong understanding of site safety procedures, risk assessments, and compliance requirements, with the ability to create a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Confident communicator who can build strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams while providing clear updates and resolving issues quickly.
  • Able to identify challenges on site, make informed decisions, and implement practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship, ensuring specifications are met and completed works are delivered to client expectations.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred, as travel between sites may be required.
