Site Manager – Summerville Site (Stockton on Tees)
Role Overview
In a Nutshell… We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team at Vistry North East, specifically at our Summerville site in Stockton on Tees.
You’ll oversee day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring all projects are delivered:
- On time
- Within budget
- To the required quality standards
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing teams & resources
- Enforcing health and safety regulations
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, partners, and customers

To excel in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

Core Responsibilities
As Site Manager, you will:
Project & Site Operations
- Oversee site operations to ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, addressing delays, risks, or issues promptly.
- Conduct regular site inspections for quality, safety, and progress.
- Coordinate with Buying & Surveying teams for timely materials procurement.
- Manage site teams, performance monitoring, and corrective actions.
- Ensure permits and inspections are in place before and during projects.
Compliance & Safety
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Conduct site inductions for new personnel & subcontractors on health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities & project documentation.

Team & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and lead staff to maintain high morale and performance.
- Support training and development of team members.
- Conduct appraisals and address development needs (with HR support).
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure 100% compliance with NHBC standards & building regulations.
- Guarantee a harassment-free work environment.
Weekly Meetings
- Attend weekly meetings with the site sales executive.
