About the Role

Our estates professionals play a crucial role in supporting academies across England, ensuring thousands of children learn in safe, inspiring environments. Now, we’re looking for a proactive and skilled Site Manager to join us at Shenley Academy and help shape the future of our school community.

As our Site Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring our academy is secure, compliant, well-maintained and ready to support exceptional learning every day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the security and safety of the Academies contents and users at all times, including holiday periods and out of hours.
  • Managing alarm and CCTV contracts and systems to ensure effectiveness.
  • Ensuring that relevant Health and Safety regulations are followed, and that work is carried out with minimum disruption to the students learning and an accurate record of compliance is maintained using the Regional Facilities Matrix.
  • Regularly assessing the condition of the premises, site and grounds with the Estates Business Partner and/or Headteacher and producing a rolling programme of remedial works and maintenance that will inform the budget setting process and will ensure the site and premises are maintained to a high standard and safe for all to use.
  • Managing, monitoring and providing quality control for work and contracts outsourced to external contractors, ensuring operators comply with the terms of the contract or service requested and that they follow all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Leading on the Academies H&S meetings on a quarterly basis with support from the Estates Business Partner.

Pay Range: NJC SCP 23- 29: £34,434 - £39,862 per annum.


Working Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday from 8am – 4pm
  • Friday from 8am – 3.30pm

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent basis.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 qualification (minimum) Management and/or facilities-related qualifications
  • Knowledge of building systems & security management
  • COSHH certification
