The Vacancy

Long-term work. Real ownership. Projects you can see the impact of.

About The Role

WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for a Site Manager to join our Projects team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be based on-site at project sites within the central belt of Scotland. You will support project delivery across WGM’s growing UK water-sector portfolio. This is a business-critical opportunity to join a growing engineering business delivering essential infrastructure across the UK.

As Site Manager, you will take ownership of site-based construction activity across varied, multi-discipline projects, helping to deliver essential water-sector infrastructure safely, on time and to customer expectations. Using your understanding of electrical, mechanical, civil and construction, you will play a key role in bringing projects from planning through to construction and commissioning.

You’ll be focused on one site at a time, giving you the chance to build strong relationships, stay close to delivery and see the impact of your work first-hand. To support you in the role, you’ll be provided with a company van and fuel card, with a working pattern of 7.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 7.30am to 1.00pm on Fridays.

If you’re looking for a role where your decisions, leadership and site knowledge make a visible difference every day, this is an opportunity to take real ownership.

About The Team

WGM is growing through secured long-term frameworks across the UK water sector, delivering essential infrastructure that keeps communities connected and critical services running. For our site teams, that means varied work, long-term opportunity and the chance to take ownership in a business where people are known, trusted, and developed.

This is a strong time to join WGM if you want to be close to delivery, work with experienced delivery teams and build a career with a business that is investing in its people as it grows across the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
