Site Manager – Groundworks & Civils
Location: Ashford
Start Date: Early October 2026
Duration: Approximately 36 weeks
Position: Long-term opportunity available
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a groundworks and civils project in Ashford, commencing in early October 2026.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience within groundworks and civil engineering, with strong technical knowledge and proven experience managing site operations from start to finish.
Key Experience & Responsibilities
- Extensive experience in groundworks and civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of drainage installation and associated works
- Experience with attenuation systems
- Good understanding of concrete and concrete surfacing
- Ability to manage and coordinate site activities, subcontractors, and labour
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards
- Maintain strong communication with project management, subcontractors, and site teams
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and programmes
- Full understanding of health & safety requirements, RAMS, and site compliance
- Monitor progress and identify any issues that may affect programme, quality, or safety

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in groundworks and civils
- Previous experience in a Site Manager or similar senior site-based role
- Strong technical knowledge of drainage, attenuation, and concrete surfacing
- Thorough understanding of health & safety and site compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable, proactive, and able to manage site operations effectively
- Relevant industry qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid are required/preferred
