Job Duties
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities for new build industrial projects to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and labour to maintain productivity and compliance with project specifications and health and safety regulations.
- Oversee site set-up, including logistics, access, welfare facilities, and security arrangements.
- Review and implement project plans, schedules, and risk assessments to ensure alignment with client requirements and contractual obligations.
- Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, and suppliers to provide progress updates and resolve site-related issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, site policies, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, site diaries, and progress photographs.
- Lead toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings to foster a safe and efficient working environment.
- Identify and manage potential risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays or additional costs.
- Prepare and submit site reports, highlight key risks, and recommend solutions to senior management.

Required Qualifications
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card
- Valid First Aid qualification
- Full, clean driving licence
Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build industrial construction projects.
- Demonstrable track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams on site.
- Experience in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Proficiency in managing health and safety standards on site.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards for new build industrial projects.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently under pressure.
- Competent in the use of site management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications
- Additional health and safety certifications beyond SMSTS.
- Experience with environmental and sustainability standards on construction projects.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures.
Working Conditions
- Work primarily takes place on active construction sites in Hayes, Greater London.
- Full-time hours with occasional requirement for overtime to meet project deadlines.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Requirement to wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times on site.
- Physical activity including walking, standing, and occasional manual handling.
