Gatwick Construction Limited is a growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering projects across airports, highways, utilities, rail, commercial, and public sector environments. Due to continued expansion and framework success, we are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a strong civil engineering background who thrives on delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
About the Role
As Site Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. You will lead directly employed operatives, subcontractors and supply chain partners whilst promoting a proactive and positive Health & Safety culture across every project.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all site activities from mobilisation through to completion.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with RAMS, permits and client specifications.
- Promote an exceptional Health, Safety and Environmental culture.
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks and daily coordination meetings.
- Monitor programme performance and drive productivity.
- Coordinate subcontractors, plant, labour and materials.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Liaise professionally with clients, designers and stakeholders.
- Produce site records, photographs and progress reports.
- Identify risks and implement proactive mitigation measures.
- Support continuous improvement and behavioural safety initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within Civil Engineering
- Strong knowledge of:
- Utilities (Water, Gas, Electric, Telecoms)
- Excavation and Street Works
- Road Surfacing and Reinstatements
- Drainage Construction
- Highway and Infrastructure Projects
- Excellent Health & Safety leadership skills
- Strong communication and team management capabilities
- Ability to work in live operational environments and challenging project locations

- CSCS Manager Card
- First Aid at Work
- Full UK Driving Licence

- NRSWA Supervisor
- Temporary Works Coordinator
- EUSR Utilities
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- CAT & Genny
- Airside Pass Experience
- NRSWA Street Works Qualification
