About The Role

A growing construction business specialising in school refurbishments seeks a Site Manager to oversee projects at Kingswinford. This role requires a hands-on, organised professional who ensures construction activities run smoothly, safely, and to the highest standard. You will lead on-site operations, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labour teams, ensuring efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards, carrying out regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Maintain comprehensive site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and communication logs.
  • Monitor resource allocation including materials, plant, and labour to maximise productivity.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, and statutory authorities to maintain positive working relationships and resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement and enforce environmental and waste management policies on site.
  • Ensure all site staff hold the necessary qualifications and certifications before commencing work.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site efficiency and safety culture.

Required Qualifications And Certifications

  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Asbestos Awareness training.
  • Fire Marshall certification.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in construction site management, preferably within school refurbishment projects.
  • Practical understanding of construction processes, site safety, and quality control standards.
  • Relevant Construction Or Management Qualifications Are Advantageous.
