SITE MANAGER / ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER – BRICKWORK & MASONRY

THE OPPORTUNITY
An established and growing specialist construction contractor is looking to appoint experienced Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers to join its expanding team. The business delivers brickwork and masonry packages across commercial and residential developments, with project values ranging from £50k through to £15m. With a strong secured workload and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor offering long-term career opportunities.
THE ROLE
As Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager, you will support the successful delivery of brickwork packages on site, working closely with main contractors, site teams and other trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate programmes and key project milestones with the main contractor team
- Manage and monitor day-to-day site activities and progress
- Attend daily coordination meetings and weekly progress meetings
- Carry out site inspections and support health & safety audits
- Deliver toolbox talks to site operatives
- Order and schedule materials in line with programme requirements
- Monitor and manage site instructions and variations
- Ensure compliance with company health & safety procedures
- Maintain high-quality standards and complete relevant QA inspections
- Coordinate effectively with other trades and identify potential site issues
- Read and interpret construction drawings and scopes of work
- Promote and maintain safe working practices across site

ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience within brickwork or masonry is essential
- Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager experience within construction
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and work scopes
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good IT and management skills
- Proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider project teams
