Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join one of our well-established clients in Hull.

Our client is a leading UK construction and civil engineering contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure, commercial, residential and transportation projects across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site operations across multiple work fronts.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements and legislation.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour teams.
  • Deliver works in line with programme, budget and quality objectives.
  • Monitor progress and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and safety audits.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and standards.
  • Lead site meetings, toolbox talks and coordination meetings.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, commercial teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of highway improvement and public infrastructure works.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and drive best practice across site operations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering major civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience managing highway, infrastructure, utility, heavy civil or large-scale construction works.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and collaborative project delivery environments.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex site logistics.
  • Strong planning, programming and organisational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card (Manager Level)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
