Location: North UK – North West, North East, Scottish Borders & Scotland
Sector: Specialist Construction
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package

The Opportunity

A leading specialist contractor is looking to appoint Site Managers to deliver technically focused projects across the North West, North East, Scottish Borders and Scotland. You will work on a varied portfolio that includes cold-storage facilities, cleanrooms, fire-rated wall systems, and specialist refurbishment projects. Each scheme brings different technical and logistical challenges, making this an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager who enjoys variety and wants to build experience within specialist construction.

Role Overview

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of your project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standard. You will coordinate subcontractors, labour, deliveries, and site logistics while keeping communication clear between the site team, Project Manager, and client.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will monitor workmanship closely, maintain site records, and make sure drawings, specifications, and agreed methodologies are followed. Where issues arise, you will be expected to identify them early, find practical solutions, and keep the project moving towards successful completion, snagging, and handover.

About You

You are an experienced Site Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of specialist construction projects. Experience within cold storage, cleanrooms, fire-rated construction, industrial facilities, fit-out, or controlled environments would be particularly relevant, although broader construction experience will also be considered.

You are organised, client-facing, and confident managing subcontractors and direct labour. You will ideally hold SMSTS, First Aid, and an appropriate CSCS Card, together with a full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel within your region.

Company Profile

This established specialist contractor delivers technically demanding projects throughout the UK, including temperature-controlled environments, cleanrooms, fire-rated construction, and specialist installations for clients operating in regulated and operationally sensitive sectors.
